Researcher-Irrigation Engineering

October 2017 to end of May 2019: Researcher-Irrigation Engineering at International Water Management Institute (IWMI), Nepal; responsible to work in two projects:

  • Sustainable Development Project funded by USAID and responsible to develop local level agricultural water management activities to enhance the crop productivity using innovative irrigation technologies, and collective farming approaches in Terai, hill, and Mountain of Karnali and Mahakali Basin. Design and review of cropping pattern, estimation of crop water requirement, installation of weather and ground water level measurement stations to collect GWL, agro climatic data
  • Dry Season Irrigation for Marginal and Tenant Farmer (DSI4MTF) project funded by ACIAR and responsible to develop agricultural water management activities to enhance the crop productivity of marginalized and tenant famer in Eastern Gangetic Plain especially in Nepal, India, and Bangladesh Design and review of cropping pattern, estimation of crop water requirement, installation of weather and ground water level measurement stations to collect GWL, agro climatic data and To conduct VES survey in the project area
  • Responsible to develop project proposal, coordination with governmental line agencies, donors, and project partners mainly in agricultural water management and livelihood.
